Denise Best
​​Denise was born in Cape Town, on the southern tip of Africa however, her childhood home was right on the doorstep of Johannesburg’s international airport.  As a youngster she’d spend hours watching the aircraft taking off and landing almost in her backyard. 

When Denise was 16 years old, her family was transferred to the Netherlands for over a year and this is where she developed her “adventurous spirit” and passion for travel. Denise lived in New York and London, where she married her husband, returning back to South Africa in 1993 and eventually going full circle, when her husband was transferred to Atlanta in 1998.  

Denise is also actively involved in her local community through the University of Georgia Extension Service as a Master Gardener.

​Alasdair Best
​Alasdair was also born in Africa, as his father was Royal Air Force and the family were based in Alexandria Egypt, at the time – opposite ends of the continent!  He travelled back from Cairo at the age of 2, in a converted Shackleton bomber, and has not stopped travelling since.  

​Alasdair's family were also based in Germany for 3 years and as such he spent every school holiday touring Europe with his parents. 

​Later, working for the airlines, he had further opportunities to travel for both business and pleasure.  Alasdair has now retired from the corporate world and is now focusing his attention solely with Best Tours.

Alison Smith
Alison is our office Support Manager and her first taste of travel began when she left school at 16 and worked in a high street travel store in the UK, the days before the internet!  Then, staff knew nothing about the properties offered and little to no local knowledge of the destinations they were selling.
 
Since then, Alison has lived in England, Spain and several States within the US. and travelled to Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, Asia and Australia.
 
With some nearly 40 years of experience in the travel industry, Alison assists with tailored recommendations on privately owned condo reservations in Grand Cayman, Turks & Caicos, Hawaii, Anguilla and the B.V.I. (British Virgin Islands)
